The vision

Camden Council had taken the decision to enhance the area’s educational facilities with the development of three new schools in line with its stated aim of improving the life chances and choices of the young people of Camden.

The project was part of the client’s vision of positioning Camden as a borough of opportunity, as set out in their new Community Strategy.

Their ambition was that, through the BSF programme, high standards could be achieved by all and the gap closed between the attainment of different groups. More emphasis was placed on vulnerable groups, including young people with learning difficulties and disabilities. In addition, there would be better access and an improved choice of school for all learners and their parents and carers.
