Work experience
Mark joined the UK construction business of Invesis’ parent company Royal BAM Group in 1996 and six years later transferred to the PPP concessions business known as BAM PPP (now Invesis). Mark was a member of the Invesis origination and tender development team, responsible for leading bid consortia on social infrastructure and transportation projects across the UK and Ireland. Those projects spanned education, healthcare, law & order, roads, railways, and tunnelling, ranging in value from €75 Million to €1.2 Billion. Notable projects which reached financial close included Crawley Schools, UK (2004), West Dunbartonshire Schools, UK (2008), Somerset Building Schools for the Future, UK (2010) and Silvertown Tunnel, UK (2019).
Since 2007, Mark has been responsible for developing and driving the Invesis international markets strategy in pursuing new transportation, social infrastructure, water and marine, energy and digital sector opportunities in Australia, North America, and central and eastern Europe. Mark played an intrinsic part in securing Invesis’ position within the successful Cross River Rail consortium in Brisbane, Australia – the company’s first PPP project outside Europe which is due to become operational in 2024. Building on this success, Mark was also involved in the consortium recently selected to deliver the Ground Lease Model 2 (GLM2) social and affordable housing project in Melbourne, Australia with construction due to be completed in 2026.
