Work experience

Simon Hunter is the Director and Head of Invesis in Australia and New Zealand. With over 20 years of experience in public-private partnerships (PPPs) and infrastructure investment, Simon leads Invesis’ strategic growth in the region, building on its current portfolio and securing new investments across PPPs, social and affordable housing, and wider infrastructure sectors.

Simon joined Invesis in 2023 from his previous senior role at Plenary Group, one of Australia’s leading investors and managers of PPP projects. His extensive career also includes leadership positions at AMP Capital, Pacific Partnerships, and ABN AMRO, where he developed a deep expertise in managing complex infrastructure projects. Based in Sydney, Simon collaborates with investment teams to lead Invesis’ expansion across Australia and New Zealand, building on key projects like Brisbane’s Cross River Rail and Melbourne’s Ground Lease Model 2 housing development.”

In his role, Simon plays a pivotal part in implementing Invesis’ five-year strategy, which includes a strong commitment to becoming a key player in the Australian market. He is passionate about fostering partnerships with government agencies, co-investors, contractors, and advisors to deliver sustainable infrastructure that benefits communities.

Simon holds a Bachelor’s degree in Commerce from the University of Wollongong and is a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors course.
