The UK’s largest Tunnel Boring Machine (TBM) has passed the factory acceptance test and is now on its way to our Silvertown Tunnel project! This huge 1,800 tonne piece of machinery will deliver the new river crossing tunnelling works.
The Riverlinx Construction Joint Venture – compromising of BAM Nuttall, Ferrovial Construction and SK ecoplant – who are designing and building the Silvertown Tunnel on behalf of Transport for London, announced the key milestone yesterday.
BAM PPP are proud to be investing in a vital piece of infrastructure that will future proof London’s growing population, relieving chronic congestion and poor air quality around the existing Blackwall tunnel.
